Roger G. Rouault
Born and raised in St. Albert, Roger graduated from the University of Alberta in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in English (with Distinction) and continued at the University of Alberta, graduating again in 2014 with a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law. Fluent in French, Roger spent semesters studying full time at the Campus Saint-Jean and overseas in both Italy and the Netherlands.
Roger’s legal career has so far offered him a diverse range of experiences. Roger moved to Calgary and began working in family law in 2016, but after graduation he started out working in-house at a mid-sized construction company associated with the oil and gas industry. In between, he spent 7 months working with a leading human rights organization in South Africa as part of the Canadian Bar Association’s Young Lawyers International Program.
These experiences have provided Roger an unique perspective in family law proceedings. His time in-house helped him develop an understanding of the practicalities and realities of business in Alberta. At the same time, Roger cares deeply about his clients’ wellbeing and is compassionate about the emotional toll legal proceedings can have.
